Our new furniture edit is live! See what's new

2 January 2026

Every year, our buying and creative teams search for the inspiration that will shape how we design and live in our homes. For 2026, the message is clear: interiors are becoming warmer, softer and more tactile. These trends aren’t loud or fleeting, they’re grounded, timeless and reflective of how people want their homes to feel.

In this blog, we explore the emerging themes our buyers are already seeing and how these ideas are quietly influencing the pieces arriving at Libra.

Tactile Textures

Texture is no longer a trend; this year, it’s the foundation of interior design. Our buyers are seeing a shift toward pieces that feel touchable: soft velvets, carved wood, stone finishes, woven materials and gently ridged ceramics.

Pieces like the Southwold Textured Vases showcase this beautifully, with organic surfaces that bring depth to consoles, dining tables and sideboards. For lighting, the Aubrey Ceramic Lamps bring a tactile finish to bedside tables and living rooms, their glazed, tonal bases adding warmth without visual heaviness.

If sculpture is more your style, carved pieces such as the Aged Gold Abstract Sculptures or the textured stone-effect designs already seen in Libra’s curated range bring quality to shelves and bookcases.

Layered Neutrals: Creams, Caramels & Browns

Neutrals remain essential, but they’re becoming richer and more dimensional. Think tones layered in shades; cream against taupe, beige paired with caramel, and deeper brown notes adding grounding warmth.

You can see this in Libra favourites like the Wicklow Sofa in Brown Velvet , which introduces colour without overwhelming the room. Paired with neutral cushions such as the Centric Cushion, the palette instantly feels richer and more curated.

Even accessories follow this layered approach: the Malmo Glazed Planter with its reflective glaze and warm tonal shades, or the natural textured Jette Throw in Cream or Natural, soften and warm interiors effortlessly.

Warm Metallic Accents

There has been a shift away from bright, polished metallics. Instead, antique gold, brushed bronze and champagne-toned finishes are quietly taking the lead, still elegant, but more grounded and easier to pair with warmer neutrals.

Look at the architectural simplicity of the Belvedere Aged Gold Collection. The shelves, consoles, and nesting tables add gentle metallic details that complement rather than dominate.

For a smaller way to introduce the trend, the Halden Lanterns with their metal frames, or the Nox Hurricanes with smoked metallic accents, create instant ambience when paired with soft candlelight.

Comfort-Driven Design

In 2026, luxury is defined by comfort. Plush upholstery, gentle curves and pieces designed to be lived with, not just looked at, will be key.

Libra’s seating already leans into this concept, with curved silhouettes like the Chrishall Chair with Footstool offering a relaxed place to unwind. Meanwhile, the Wallace Faux Sheepskin Chairs add softness and a cloud-like feeling that transforms a reading corner or bedroom nook.

Soft furnishings support the trend too, rugs like the Laridel or Ayudar Jacquard Woven Rugs bring subtle pattern and comfort to the floor, creating a room with warmth.

Cohesive, Harmonious Styling

A key theme for 2026 is the desire for homes to feel calm and connected, not ‘matchy-matchy,’ but cohesive; quiet continuity.

This means mixing textures, shapes and materials while keeping the overall palette consistent. The idea is to let pieces speak to each other through tone and material: a woven rug with a carved wood table; a stone vase with a bronze lantern; a velvet sofa with a ceramic lamp.

Collections like Monterey (wood), Belvedere (aged metallics), and Mederno (glazed ceramics) allow homeowners to layer finishes that feel different yet harmonious, creating spaces that flow beautifully from room to room.

Where this year's interior trends are heading…

2026 interiors are stepping away from stark minimalism and moving toward warmth, tactility and balance. There’s a focus on how spaces feel, grounding, restful, and authentic.

Rather than big seasonal shifts, buyers are seeing timeless materials and colours used in new, nuanced ways. Brass, stone, wood, ceramic and textured fabrics all play a part, styled in layered neutral palettes with small touches of metallic warmth.

And in true Libra style, the emphasis is on design that feels considered, textural and timeless — pieces that enrich the everyday.
